The President of the Association, Aleksandra Đurđević, and Board Member, Slobodan Pešić, are panelists at the EV Days conference.
Aleksandra Đurđević, on the third panel "Sky High - New Horizons of EV Technologies," explained how her company, Delta Auto Group, started its journey with electric vehicles nine years ago when they first imported such a car to Serbia, dedicating themselves to developing sustainable technologies with the goal of reducing CO2 emissions.
Đurđević also spoke about the future of autonomous driving, which foresees significant changes in how we move, aiming to reduce traffic accidents, increase efficiency, and save time. She emphasized that, although technical and regulatory challenges still exist, autonomous vehicles are expected to become a reality in the coming decades, first in closed and controlled environments, and later in widespread use on public roads.
She also touched on the fact that the role of traditional car distributors is undergoing significant changes in the era of electric vehicles (EV), as the industry adapts to new technological and market demands. Distributors will need to redefine their business models to survive in the increasingly competitive and digitized automotive industry.
Slobodan Pešić, on the second panel "EV 360: The Economy and Technology of Electromobility," highlighted electromobility as a key direction for the future development of the automotive industry.
The fact that Serbia now has its own electric vehicle manufacturer marks a major step forward in the transformation of the country's automotive industry.
Pešić also stressed that the further development of electromobility in Serbia requires a comprehensive, coordinated approach from all stakeholders involved in the process.
He pointed out that, although companies and legal entities are currently the main buyers of electric cars in Serbia, mass adoption by individual consumers is inevitable in the coming years.
