The Secretary General of the Association, Boris Ćorović, spoke at the Emobility Eco Forum, which was held in Belgrade from October 2 to October 3, 2024.
Ćorović presented the state of electromobility in the Republic of Serbia, primarily regarding the current number of environmentally friendly vehicles in the country, as well as the development of the ecosystem, i.e., infrastructure.
He emphasized that, although the number of eco-friendly vehicles in Serbia lags behind other countries in the region and the EU, there is visible progress in the growth of these vehicles, and therefore, an increase in environmental awareness in the country. In 2019, there were only a few dozen registered vehicles, while by August 2024, there were 3,629 fully electric vehicles and 28,523 hybrid vehicles.
Regarding infrastructure, he highlighted that the Association supports the activities of the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, especially concerning the finalization of the tender for the redevelopment of rest areas on highways in the Republic of Serbia and their conversion into "green stations" with fast DC chargers and rest areas.
Many experts from the field of electromobility also spoke at the forum, including Baerte De Brey, a Dutch infrastructure and network expert, Robert Dominik from the Slovenian National Chemistry Institute, Nemanja Mikač from the company Eleven ES, Primož Lemež as the organizer and host of the conference, and many others.
