A meeting of the Group of Authorized Vehicle and Parts Importers was held at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia to discuss the Draft Consumer Protection Law. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications were guests at the meeting, presenting the proposed changes to the Consumer Protection Law initiated by the Importers' Association, as well as suggestions and comments on the draft currently in progress. The aim is to create a more favorable business environment for the successful functioning and collaboration between importers and consumers.

In addition to topics related to the law, the agenda also included the election of the leadership of the Group. The current president, Miloš Petrović, will continue to lead the Group during the transitional period, specifically during the phase of reconstruction and increasing the number of members.

It was agreed that the Group would undergo a complete reorganization in the coming period, forming specific sections for freight vehicles, passenger vehicles, motorcycles, as well as a section for authorized importers of parts and equipment. Concurrently with the formation of these sections, leaders will be selected from the presidency of the Group, followed by the election of the leadership of the Group, namely the president, vice president, and working body.

Next week, the Group will continue its work with a scheduled meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications to address any uncertainties that may arise from this law.
